As I've said before, Season 5 may be the last of Seasonal Rugby.

As it is, I need to have this current season finished by early July (kind of possibly on track for this, but probably a bit behind).

If there is a Season 6, it realistically won't be able to start until November-ish and it will be run based on the current sim - no major changes will be made in this off season. Season 6 will also not start until each team has a reasonable amount of players (which currently will take...

This can only be won by beating a team at home who holds the Shield.

Once the current round of pre-season matches have been completed, I will start on simming Season 6 of Seasonal Rugby proper.

I will have a look through the contracts thread to see whether it would be more appropriate to go through with 6 teams or 4. Given the general lack of activity, at this stage it is highly likely that I will select the teams and you'll have to suck that up.

It will be sporadic, but it'll get something progressing.

Ground Rules

At this stage, no team is allowed to sign more than 30 players.

If a 31 (or more) players sign for a team, then any contracts in excess of 30 will be invalid and will not be given access, nor eligible to play for the contracted team.

If in doubt, give me a shout.

The usual contract thread conditions apply. Any discussion, jokes or bullshit will not be tolerated and will also be infracted.

It's been over a year now since the last match of Seasonal Rugby was simmed. And a fair old time since the last contract or sign-up.

And this site is pretty much dead.

I'm willing to give it one last try though to see if we can get the thing going again.

My suggestion is to void all the current contracts and start with four teams. Two teams would be put on hiatus until player numbers increase again

One obvious choice to put on ice would be the Immortals as they were a new team anyway. My...

Rego has been working on a Sevens Sim that will run during the offseason. He has been testing it in the Sharks subforum and it looks good enough to help bridge the gap between seasons.

Much like the Cricsim offseason compo, there will be no squads and the line-up will not change from match to match. There will be no injuries and players on the Test tour will be allowed to play.

There will be 12 teams allowed into the competition, and teams will be selected by Draft.

We need 12 team...

Given the growth in stats for Seasonal Rugby, I'm finding the stat output a little hard to read. I'm making a few tweaks to improve this, but I would have thought the most efficient way to manage this is through some kind of stats database. A long time ago, Nino made something of this kind for Australian Rules CPL. It's a bit outside of my skillset, is there anyone who would be able to devise a database which could be run through the website in some way - i.e. you could click on your name...
