Nah. I'd probably go with: 1 Cook 2 Trescothick 3 Strauss 4 Ramprakash 5 Bell 6 Collingwood 7 Prior 8 Flintoff 9 Swann 10 Tremlett 11 Anderson For England, but Tremlett has been playing like arse so it opens that spot up for a number of potential players (Onions/Sidey/Harmy/Davies/Jones/Chapple/Cork/Bresnan etc). Cook's been pretty shit as well so someone like Taylor could come in. We've still got another 15 rounds plus finals though.
Ideally you could look at batting Rashid at 7 in that team as well and flicking Collingwood so you have five frontline bowlers, two of which are spinners, and still batting down to 9. He's been playing like arse himself too though. England's only other batting allrounders who bowl spin and were selected are Wagh, Nash, Blackwell and Samit Patel.
and how theyre playing is the main thing we're going off, not how they should be playing so Rashid should have no change
Lol @ African XI. That'd just be South Africa ffs with the slight possibility of Goodwin getting a game.
vs the actual next best XI (so if people are in both they go to Deane medal team) or the winners vs Deane medal team, split goes towards comp winners IM HAVING TOO MANY FUCKING SHIT IDEAS
Yeah could be gun. At the moment it'd be.. 1. Shane Watson (3) 2. Chris Gayle (5) 3. Kumar Sangakkara 4. Michael Clarke 5. Neil Broom 6. Brad Haddin 7. James Franklin (6) 8. Andrew Hall (7) 9. Luke Butterworth (2) 10. Dale Steyn (1) 11. Ajantha Mendis (4)
