Adams and Gayle are going to be the big players for how we do. If we do well against them we will win it. Definitely a game we have to be looking to win.
With Ajmal in for the injured Kaneria, it will make the new ball even more important. Not got much faith in Ajmal tbh.
Most teams would be in trouble if their top 4 or 5 went cheaply tbh. I am too worried about getting you massively cheaply I have confidence in my batting.
Phoenix have been the under performers of the CPL this season, largely as a result of an inconsistent bowling attack. There were positive signs for the side last start though, when they managed to bungle out a Titans outfit boasting one of the more consistent top 4's in the game for under 200. Although they struggled to contain the same side in the second innings of the match, there were at least promising signs for an attack who'd previously leaked 565 against a Hurricanes side boasting the 4th worst batting record of the league. Even with the 400+ score that was achieved from the Titans in the 2nd dig, they could still take heed in the fact they were able to close out an opposition 4th innings to seal victory, having previously come up short against the Carvers - 3/280 and ElDamo0003 - 5/306, struggling to take wickets when defending solid totals. Claymores sit in the same boat this season, fielding a pace attack that has lacked punch, with Indian star Zaheer Kahn failing to make any sort of impact expected of him. Sri Lankan veteran Vaas has provided some sting with the new ball, but they've been short of any further seam up options beyond him, with Collymore offering little and the allrounders doing little more than chewing up overs. Pakistani leggie %Danish Kaneria has been their one shining light to date and much will rest on his shoulders once more if the pace attack can't do damage with the new ball. Smart vcash for this game is on the draw, though Phoenix do have the strike power to force a win should the attack draw on their new found confidence.
