I might not be able to do it. It depends on if I can conquer the wholly grail of working out the statistical difference between the standard of BS cricket and rep cricket in each season. If there are 8 BS teams and 4 rep teams, what is averaging 40 in rep cricket worth in terms of a BS average? It sure as hell isn't 80.
It'd probably be simpler for everyone if we just left as is tbh. Save yourself the completely unnecessary hassle.
For the ratings to be proper ratings I think they have to include all competitive multi-day games. Otherwise they are just like domestic ratings.
If I do it right, you shouldn't suffer at all. Last time rep cricket was part of the rankings it was given too much importance - it was too easy to fly up the rankings by playing well (or at all) in rep cricket. If I get the calculations right then there will be as many people drop in standardised average as those who go up in it. The only thing that might cause a dip for you is certain players not being as n00b0wned.
Well Care Cup games and trials and the likes definitely aren't going to be included; it's impossible to figure out the standard of the opposition when it's not full strength.
