Week G Bannerman Shield Round 7 Horrigan Cup Round 7 Avo Lovers Cup Round 7 Horrigan Plate Round 7 Provincial Championship Round 3 Rossleigh Trophy Round 3 PCDIY Cup Round 3 Club Games - Round 7 Pumas v Crusaders Cyclones v Stingrays Gamblers v Allstars Ravens v Vipers Sticky Wickets - Bye Rep Games - Round 3 NSW City v Asia Queensland v NSW Country Britain v New Zealand Victoria v Celtic Provinces (PCDIY/RT only) All four BS games this week should be crackers. Crusaders sit top of the table but the Pumas away is the hardest fixture on the draw. They do however have a side well-suited to the conditions there. The Stingrays batting lineup is in awful form and the Cyclones have been the surprise packets. The home side will probably start favourites there but the Stingrays have a lot of class lying dormant and Skippos did manage to ton up against a prank bowling attack earlier in the season despite his poor form. Gamblers at home to the Allstars sans-Emm. Genuine toss of the coin game that could really be influential in deciding who makes the final three. After a couple of jokes you couldn't imagine the Gamblers would harbour many thoughts of finals cricket if they lost that one. The Ravens have been awesome at home this season, and while the Vipers are best travelling side going the pitch won't suit them and there could be a potential upset there too. Will be gun.
I've seen this a couple of times on the forum. Is it just an Australian way of saying surprise package or is it an in joke I'm missing? I always thought it was surprise package?
It's an expression. Never knew it to be specifically Australia but a quick google search comes up with a heap of Australian articles so perhaps. It's not an in-joke like letterlone or anything though.
Facing my old team. Hope it's a good and fair game Crusaders. It'll be a pleasure being back with the old team.
