Papps At this point I really don't think there's much up for debate wrt this line-up. Which kind of scares me and makes me think our depth is poor. Only possibillity I could see is Patel for Hall, but it really doesn't appeal to me.
Basically why he was picked, there's no reason why he shouldn't be a solid opening option for injuries/shunting. Plus he'd be a fine seconds player.

Piedt A lot of South Africans in the team, but being the only SAer in the draft simply lent itself to knowing more about the FC scene here than most. I feel like the only saffers in my team that might not be seemingly strong picks are there because they'll be strong in the future (Vallie, Dry, Piedt) and besides, they're doing well atm enough to by fair back-up if required. Don't really see much weakness in the team, but I also feel that there isn't an area where we stand out as elite. While I feel our international experience will help our batting to be solid enough, our bowling is tough to predict for me. Obviously Philander is quality, but Birch/Thomas/Shah is tough to judge. I don't think it'll be that bad, but it could end up just being average.
Well, yeah. I don't see it as a major weakness as such because I don't feel Shah is all that much weaker than the spinners of most. Also I don't feel like many teams will choose spin-friendly pitches because of the general lack of world-class spinners.
