Comedy gold. Pretty hard to keep it going when the actors aren't inbetweeners any more tho...so it had to end at some point.
Yeah not exactly easy once the characters have left for uni. Plus the writers had said before that pretty much everything that had happened were fabricated truths... 3 series is a lot of time to fill, so when they ran out of fabricated truths, it was probably difficult to find inspiration and would have tarnished a great series.
Am yet to see the second movie, but the series and first movie were fucking brilliant. One of my favourite comedies ever. Shame it (like a lot of good British shows) was only short-lived. Anyone ever seen the US version? I caught about 5 minutes of it one day and had to turn it off. Appalling.
American series is unwatchable. They copy all the same jokes and it's just bad in general. I also couldn't get past the 1st episode.
I caught a bit of the episode where they go to the amusement park (same as the British version). Like I said, I only saw about 5 minutes of it, but the acting was just so bad. If they wanted to make a US version, I don't understand why they couldn't just write new scripts that are for US audiences. It was the same problem with The Office - first season they worked off the British scripts and it just didn't work. From the second season though they came up with their own stuff and it improved. At least they had decent actors though, unlike the Inbetweeners.
This. Nothing worse than bringing back a great show for another season and end up being subpar and tarnishing its legacy.
Films were fucking hilarious. They both had some quiet parts, but there was a huge amount of bursting in laughter moments.
