Games needed to be simmed quickly after contracts opened, or contracts should have been opened after the games were simmed imo. Kind of wasted the momentum.
Had actually missed game 2. Need to have a closer look at the bowling (aside from Howe) and the middle order.
Just because it wins does not mean it can't be better. It wasn't like it was exactly the most comfortable win. Pretty much you and Paddy look definite to be dropped and need to have a think about Chung, his figures were definitely hurt by the death bowling in the last match which isn't really the role we would ideally have him doing so he has perhaps done just enough to earn a 3rd chance. Yes you have taken wickets, but you have been expensive doing so and we have a queue of top fast bowlers.
Maybe we should bring in another legit fast bowler to bowl first change. I've still been bowling my opening spell in the 12th/13th over which has left a bit too little for me to do at the end, so Chung/Paddy end up leaking runs there. England attack does well with 3 quicks.
If we brought in another specialist quick we'd have to drop Chung, as I am not keen on 4 specialist bowlers. Ryabovol would be an option or of course myself. I had thought about bringing back Farhat to give a bit of support in the seam bowling department, as he bowled fairly well in the 1st game, but not creating a long tail. Could also bring in the possibility of strengthening the batting by bringing someone like Das to bat 7.
If you were not pretty dire with the ball you would probably be in the side, or at least in serious contention. You aren't a million miles away anyway, but you are pretty much going to get picked on batting alone. You struggling a bit for England doesn't help you cause either.
Yeah my bowling is so fucking shit haha. Yeah it took a while for my England form to pick up post restart tbf. It's almost a shame that I was in the England team earlier in the season as if I hadn't been and had then come in and scored what I did in the last 2 innings (even though it wasn't exceptional) could have posed an interesting question, I think.
