But yeah, the way I see it is that I'm in the team to perform one specific role and that is to play anti-cricket in the middle overs. If I'm just going to undo all that by chucking pies at the death, then I agree that I should be dropped ahead of someone else who can contribute more to team balance.
Not that much better with the ball when you're not playing for a team with quicks that regularly have teams at 50/4 either.

After I said you were no where near contention too. I actually considered myself too, despite a poor HC season. Basically I wanted someone who could support Howe and Blunder in the early and late overs and allow Chung to stick to the middle overs. You have also been really good with the bat in the lower order which helped your cause. I pretty much felt that Chung was so far ahead of other potential middle overs bowlers it was worth picking a slightly weaker player than some options to fill a role that would give him the best opportunity to do what he does best.
You weren'the completely overlooked. I wasn't predominantly looking for a middle overs bowler though, which was the point I was trying to make above. I don't want Chung on really early or at the death or be forced to keep on a struggling bowler to ensure that does not happen. If I brought in another middle overs bowler, especially a spinner, that is what would have happened.
