Checked out the creation hub today. Pretty similar to RC2 creation, added tats and that's about it. Not that anything was exactly needed.
Well, after the massive delay this isn't too far away from being released. Gameplay in the trailer looks pretty much the same but we'll have to wait and see. I think Sevens will work well with this. Tbh even if the gameplay is pretty similar the drawing card of being able to download other people's players/ rosters, Sevens, Be a Pro mode and finally a proper career mode have me wanting this. The rosters will be last years now but not really an issue being able to download proper ones. I'll be streaming (probably on twitch) if others are skeptical about buying this (which I'm assume most will be). Might even start a series up for my be a pro player or career mode.
My copy should be arriving tomorrow I'll do a review no doubt. Will have to have a game with you at some stage.
OK so I'll do a proper review later but a mixed bag for me so far. Haven't played too much but I'm disappointed that the career mode is the same as RC2 - no player progression, just player drafting at the end of the season. Exactly the same as RC2. The game itself feels very similar to RC2 if not identical. RC2 was OK though - maybe will notice some more things as I play more (have only played one 15's game). The only real thing I've noticed is conversions now have 2 minigames. Onto Sevens and this is where I'm really impressed. It plays so well. I've only played one game but I reckon they've got this spot on. Only issue is if you don't do a quick conversion (which you'd only do if time wasn't your friend) the drop kick conversions are too easy. We all know most conversions in sevens are missed.....not too much of a biggy. Really loving sevens and that's coming from someone that isn't a fan of it irl. Haven't done be a pro yet but will do that tonight. Reckon sevens be a pro will be a lot of fun. Not sure how well it'll be for 15's.
Pretty shit if you're a winger.....like some objectives are kick the ball X metres....tad silly when you never get the ball and the team just seems to lose every breakdown. I'd assume being like a forward or 10 or even HB would be better. Sevens be a pro would be the most fun I'd say.
In RLL3 the only position I found vaguely enjoyable in be a pro was fullback. Can imagine this being similar.
It's not woeful by any means, just not much of a step up in the time period. Clearly focussed on game modes.
I haven't played a Rugby game since the first one so it should be an improvement to me. Plus I'm keen as for the Be a Pro mode
