(May have already been suggested) More involved fielding... Atm the only thing we get is dropped by whoever. Could get things like poor throws and good stops thrown in aswell?
This talk of fielding is actually quite interesting. You could feasibly see a fairly realistic scenario where fielding would be more in depth and dependent on activity levels, so that newer members who can't do much with bat or ball in FC cricket are good fielders. In the same way that young academy guys in their first FC matches often are quicker, more agile, and throw themselves around most in the field.
So you are saying players who are good at fielding should be picked in the BS? I know what you mean btw
Haha, i'm not saying we should pick specialist fielders. I'm saying that it would be good for fielding to get to the point where if two batsmen are equally good, you might pick the better fielder. And newer guys could think "I didn't score any runs, but at least i took a stunner of a catch". I thought that any number of times when i was playing at a higher standard than i should have been.
