Don't get me wrong... Robinho is a class player. I just see him as a wider player than a central striker.

Nah, he's always had problems with injuries. Near enough every season he misses games through injury. Last year was the first one I remember him staying relatively injury free for. He played wide left quite often but was always a striker. But like you said he didn't get much of an opportunity. Can't quite remember who was at the club when he joined but Henry, Adebayor, Reyes? Wiltord? Bergkamp for a bit?.

Not that bad a team tbh. They just had some players punching seriously above their weight. Ireland had the season of his life. SWP played as well as I've seen him play in years.

Look I rate RVP higher than Robinho as a striker. Robinho had the best scoring season of his career last year IIRC.
Oh and please tell me you know how often RVP has been injured? Such a stop start career, last season was his first FULL season tbh.

Yeah Arsenal were one of the ones who scored more than them.
Kinda reinforces my point about RVP vs Robinho
Compared to us they played 1 man football.

Maybe I was wrong... Still rate RvP ahead of Robinho.
You can't deny that City played 1 man football. Well 1 man + Steven Ireland.

      We don't play 1 man football :p
Would be interested in the asissts and how many of those appearances were starts.

No, have you seen Gallas since he's not been captain? He doesn't mope about and sulk any longer. Wenger has obviously spoken to him and he's taken on a bit of responsibility and realised he's a role model to the younger players. He's responsible. He's also very good at his job which is defending, not leading. Not dribbling out from the back. Gallas defends like a defender should.

No, Berbatov isn't slow. Van Persie actually has enough pace to take himself away from defenders. Ronaldo is one of the best players in the world. Robinho is at least a league or two below the very top bracket. Robinho isn't good enough to play as a striker. He doesn't score enough. End of.

Yeah wouldn't have Gallas as captain but we were discussing them as defenders. Wanna reply to my points about Rio and Terry's technical issues?

He is, Adebayor is the most wasteful striker you'll ever see and the fact that Robinho doesn't even lay as an out and out striker ffor City puts to bed that theory.
RVP has a good first touch, a great finish. Good control and balance. Pretty quick when it comes to it and he's not exactly shrugged off the ball. He's technically superb. He's a terrific striker.

Saw highlights. One swallow doesn't make a summer.
      Shooting =/= finishing.
Gerrard rifles them from 30 yards, doesn't mean he' a terrific finisher ala Torres.

Nah based on pure defensiveness Gallas is definitely up there with the pair of them. Terry is getting slower and is caught out of position fairly regularly and Rio gets turned far to easily in 1v1 situations. It's how Barca exposed you, if you isolate either of Rio or Vidic you're so much easier to break down as the pair of them are clueless. The work as a pairing as they mop up for each other. Vermaelen looks terrific as well.

You're smoking crack. Eduardo > Owen at finishing. At everything tbh.

      |Go and get ****ed. That's laughable. He's a distance ahead of Robinho and Adebayor. The top 4 + RvP is debatable IMO. Could have any order.

Disagree with the Schole's and Fabregas analysis. Fabregas's distribution is one of his main attributes, his range of passing is up there with the very very best. Pep Guardiola to C.
Carrick is a better tackler yes. Fabregas can play a deeper lying role though, doesn't necessarily suit his game or allow him to play to his best but he has the ability to do it.
The fact is there is nobody English that's is available and good enough to make our team. Just having an English player won't make us a better side. Playing the best players regardless of Nationality will.
Don't understand how you can't rate Arshavin. You obviously don't follow much football outside of the EPL. The guy is fantastic. Did you not watch Euro 2008 or any of Zenit's UEFA Cup games? Or even CL games last year? He carried that side.

Oh and if you're saying RvP isn't in the top 6 strikers in the Prem GAGF.

If England supposedly breed the best spine... why haven't we won a majour tournament in years? Exactly. Arshavin and Fabregas are both better than both of Scholes and Carrick tbh.

The first paragraph is bullshit. Ronaldo dived at every opportunity, first minute or last. Arsenal dive at certain opportunities again, it doesn't matter if it's the first minute or last.

      oooh meaow!
We'll win something this year. You can't criticise teams for diving. How many penalties and free kicks did Ronaldo buy you over the years?
