    Yeh I remember that. Went out at some point during first half so actually never saw it if its the match im thinking of but heard it was a shocker.

    Seriously though if you're going to send players off for trying to cntrol a high ball what about when a goalkeeper goes for a punch and connects with a player instead, what about when a striker goes for an overhead kick? Hell if its dangerous when it connects then surely you should send a player off every time they try and put their foot high like we now do with 2 footed tackles.

    The one that shits me is the fact you can no long use your elbows to jump despite that being a physical necessity. The disallowed goal tonight was perfectly fine, which would have rendered most of what else happened moot.

    Better off giving a red to Rafael for his rubbish attempt at a dive in the box frankly.

    Can't really call it a disallowed goal though tbf... whistle had gone before he put it in the net and De Gea had stopped and put his knee down rather than attempt to block the shot.

    I'm not saying he'd have saved it but he'd have had a good go, and I doubt he'd have been easily nutmegged like he was had the whistle not gone

    TBH that's not the best angle to view it from, as you can't see Nani's face, plus it makes it look like Arbeloa is in Nani's eyeline all along.


    From the other side you can see Nani's eyes are on the ball until he thinks its about to land on his foot (he's just starting to bring it down as if to control it), and Arbeloa comes accross him - lets face it, if that was on the ground and Arbeloa nicked it off his toes like that, we'd be calling it a brilliant tackle (though Nani would probably roll around like a tit). Genuinely think Nani had no idea he was about to lose the ball, and took him by surprise. Find it harsh to be sent off for being victim to a fantastic piece of defending.

    Exactly what I was thinking of.

    How is that not more dangerous than Nani's challenge? Fist to face or boot to chest. Not much in it. And neither were intentional. Yet one is a red and the other not even a foul. The rules need to be looked at imo...

    Celtic played the best I've ever seen a team play in a 3-0 loss in the first leg. Tie's over so can see Juve just keeping it tight and then sneak at least one goal on the odd break.

    Tie needs a ref who'll give out penalties for 'holding the man' at corners to really shake it up at this point. Celtic won't do it on their own.
