    Haha give him some sort of hope you sad cunts. He's easily the most athletically gifted player in our country, he at least has the opportunity with the training to at least make a fist of it.

    If he can used to running in pads and a helmet he could be a pretty decent safety.

    Too small IMO but I reckon he'd make a good Corner given time to understand routes, he most definitely has all the natural attributes of a good corner, good hips, good height, good hops, good hands and he has enough strength to work well in man coverage. What he doesn't have is any of the relevant skills to do anything in the game except return punts...

    Nah. I don't think he would be able to cover TE. He could play FS maybe but he would get mauled at SS. Just my opinion.

    He's as big, if not bigger than the majority of strong safeties and that's not taking into account that his body is built for 80 minutes of NRL action as opposed to a build which he'd have more suited to the nfl in an nfl strength and conditioning program.

    It's his skill/experience that would let him down.

    Yep so I stand corrected I just was looking him up, I certainly had him at less than 90 kg in my head. But he comes in at closer to 100kg apparently.

    If he can pick up the skills he could be dead set damaging...

    Um, forget his size speed etc. He would never make it as a defensive player full stop. Too much stuff to learn and that's before he even got onto the field. A return man or the hybrid RB/WR position we're starting to see more of is his only chance IMO.

    Good luck to him, can't say he's chasing the money because chances are he'll probably be looking at making less.

    It's pretty obvious to me though that if he gets a contract in to the NFL it will most likely be as a special teams specialist, but he will still have to be able to do something on either offense or defense to warrant a place in the 45 man game day squad and I think his best shot is on the defense, if he can remember plays at all then he will be good against the run and has the athleticism to keep up with just about any receiver, just as long as he doesn't have to rush the passer ever I think he can learn to play at the very least some of the simpler defensive schemes in the NFL.

    Don't know much about NFL but he's the most physically gifted player I've ever seen play our game.

    The Watmough signing makes a lot more sense now after they were talking about having spent the cap then all of a sudden having a spare million lying around.

    I don't think he'll make it, but I think he'll get a shot to play running back or wide out on a practice squad or extended preseason squad. He'll probably get an offseason to work with them before next year's season and then get cut. I think he's intriguing enough of an athlete for them to give him a go. 6'2", 220 pounds, he's the perfect size. But yeah, back in the NRL by 2016 imo.

    I said he has the relevant attributes to be a corner, nothing about skills. He has no relevant NFL skills, but Kick returning in the NFL is pretty much the same as kick returning in NRL so he can probably do that fine.

    He won't be a WR or TE. Doesn't have the experience route running and isn't a special enough athlete (compared to your average WR) to be made into one.

    RB is a chance. But it would break him down far too quickly.

    Safety is by far his best chance at a non-ST role. Being a league fullback he already has some experience reading plays. And his size is no problem, he can obviously tackle and force drops. And return any interceptions/fumbles he gets his hands on.

    But he'll go there as a punt/kick returner imo.
