Yeah I like Canberra here. Another day game at home. Stronger across the park and Williams slotting in to 7 is a positive.
Well I'm gonna have to disagree with you blokes. Last week equalled the biggest losing margin under Robinson's tenure. I don't care what personnel they're missing, they will be one very motivated football side, and motivation can be extremely dangerous. So yeah I don't really understand why Easts are blowing out in this one when Canberra are missing their two starting halves (Williams is fucking meh). Easts should be firming imo. I give them a real red hot go to win this. It's 51/49 Raiders imo.
Yeah I've been waiting for a while now (5 years actually) to see what you're on about. Can't say I understand your praise for him tbh, Taylor. Why do you like him so much?
Don't see how we win this game. Missing 3 key players and still figuring out combos on both edges. Will take a mamoth effort from our forward pack and a few great individual performances in attack. The Raiders defence is about the only thing I can draw hope from.
The main reason being that he is a genuine creator of point scoring opportunities. Last year I think he was top 5/6 in try assists in the competition and he only played 14 games i think. What I really, really like about him is that he plays tremendously straight and unlike so many other touted young halves of the past decade, plays what is in front of him. Because he plays so straight with ball in hand he has an uncanny knack of poking his nose through when the outside defender even looks like commiting early. This is it in a nutshell really, he's a fucking true footballer. And something telling about him is that in the 2 biggest games of his career (2012 finals wk 1 and 2 as a 21 yr old) he was fucking brilliant. That was in a win and in a game where his pack got fucking brutalised by South Sydney. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-W637guhouM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I can't find highlights of the Souths game.
Latrell Mitchell to fullback. Fergo back to the centres. Taukeiaho starting at lock, Liu back to the bench. Both very positive moves IMO. Taukeiaho is a beast and our best yardage maker atm needs to play big minutes and I love the mobility Liu brings off the bench against a tiring pack. Ferguson/Mitchell switch is self explanatory.
