    It's much more common for it to be the other way round, i.e. someone dies but you don't get to see their alignment/character

    I can't remember what the actual name for that role is that has that power though.

    Without trying to make myself a target. Is there not a case of dinosaurs that we would not want to lynch? From the write-up it feels like a herbivore protected a town when the Pteranodon came in? With a carnivore down already I am more worried about the Ingen people at this stage? An an enraged T-rex does not sound easily lynchable but something that the bigger herbivore dinos could at least deal with.

    I'd read it more as that the Pteranodon attacked the herbivore, rather than the herbivore protected some of the town.

    Yeah to me it definitely read like this. Maf sent in a night order to attack a random town but it turned out to be a massive herbivore so they ended up dying themselves (#donttreadonherby). Weird that we don't get to find out who it is, especially since it might encourage just not posting as a maf tactic to make people think you're dead already.

    I need to figure out exactly how to defend myself against Teja's post without just straight up claiming, as the latter is heavily disincentivised in this game as per the OP. Actually reading the whole thread properly now that I've arrived back home may help with that, so I'll get back to you.

    Fair enough. But still makes the herbivore more a boon for the town than a threat. So this idea of dinosaur equals lynch does not automatically track with me.

    Well not really, because presumably the dinos now know who the Steggy is, so they can just ignore them for the rest of the game (and worst case potentially have the herbys side with them to help win).

    If all the info we get during the game is whether someone is a dino or not and we choose not to lynch, the mafia are at an advantage because 1. We help identify some herbivores and 2. Give them an out. It's a tough choice but I do think we have to lynch if we stumble upon a dino
