Smart choice. Capewell is clinging onto his spot for Brisbane his defence has been that bad.

Picking Walsh over Ponga is just a recipe for disaster. Gilbert on an edge is stupid too.

Somehow QLD have ended up picking the better forward pack, where the fuck did Pangai-Junior come from.. one of the most out of box selections in a long time.

Not surprised Slater went with Walsh, probably see’s a younger self in him. Full of pace and errors.

NSW middle rotation is very thin. The Hynes at 14 pick is so half baked as well, which sort of feeds into that problem.

Get Murray out of friggin 2nd row. Think Martin's a mistake too

I prefer it to how often we've seen friggin centres picked on the bench but it does feel like they'll shoe horn Luai in to 9 for a stint or something to get him on

  6. Magic AJ Parker

From most suggested teams floating around they’ll both be on the bench and Young/Frizzell will start.

I don’t have any problems with Hynes on the bench, think with HIA’s these days you pretty much have to carry a player who can cover as many positions as possible across the backline unless you’re blessed with a backrower who can’t adequately play in the centres.

Picking Martin and Murray on the bench though makes it a very light forward rotation. They will be so fucked if Haas or Paulo go down, in this side you’d almost rather one of the halves or fullbacks go down than a prop and that just shouldn’t be a thing when you’ve got 4 bench spots & 8 interchanges available to you.

Latrell ruled out and Cleary in doubt.

Crichton into the centres and Burton 18th man replacement if Nicho ends up playing.

Crichton arguably 5th best centre choice for NSW.

Well Martin has played as a bench prop the last 2 weeks so I can only presume he’ll play some prop and some minutes for Frizell. You’d think Murray will have to play through the middle as well. We all know TPJ should have been Klemmer; still.

Absolutely no atmosphere, or at least if there it's not coming through on the TV. Doesn't feel like an origin game.

Frizell seems to be exclusively playing as a centre in attack, can't recall Turbo even being there in attack, feel sorry for Addo-carr.

Just sack Fittler for fucks sake.

  13. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

And take Teddy, Turbo, Luai and half the other spuds with him. Useless

I don't know who was more woeful, us or the refs.

  15. Magic AJ Parker

TPJ with a 2nd play kick return carry offloading to no-one is just peak Pangai-Junior. He’s such a prank player.

Ashley Klein is a sped, I can’t fathom how he’s considered the number 1 ref in the game. What metrics or KPI’s do they get measured on? He just constantly holds up play to allow the bunker to check for foul play because something doesn’t look right, over-officiates and generally makes a few baffling calls every week.

We’ve got him for the Dogs game this week - not looking forward to it.

I genuinely think Nine’s coverage took out the most inept performance of the night though. Commentary was ear bleed worthy and the peak of the incompetence was the Flegler sin-bin which they completely missed and then proceeded to claim that the refs snuck it in and no one knew what was going on. No one knew because your fucking film crew and directors weren’t paying attention! Refs don’t sneakily do sin bins out the back of play, they’re centre field… donkeys.

Frizell being penalised for being kicked by Walsh is top tier dumbest shit I've seen

  18. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

He gave Haas; who could possibly play 80, 31 minutes...

Well that was fun. Watching Fittler select his way to another loss is hilarious. Hynes, Young, TPG, I mean keep em coming. To sit there days before the game talking about how you didnt turn up in the opening 40 last year and how it wont happen again. And within 12 minutes your side is down 10-0 and youre using words like shell-shocked. Thats a huge indictment on your coaching.

12 to 36 inside opp. 20's and you let in 26 points and only create 1 maybe 2 tries. That game defied football gravity.

I also thought that was comfortably Tedesco's worst Origin. Bombed a certain try, was way out position for Hammer's first, fell over for his second. Made a really poor cover effort on Cobbo's second. And outjumped by a prop for another.

The sin binning was a disgrace.

That game bodes really badly for NSW. We were beaten in the mid-field and could barely get over halfway for a lot of the match. That wont happen in Brisbane.

Kaufusi comes straight in for Gilbert. Rest of the Qld team is fine. Hammer v Latrell will cost us at some point but he's too deadly in attack to move him.

NSW are kidding themselves not picking Cook. Hynes offers nothing unless there's an injury to the halves. He cant play centre and youre not putting him at fullback over Latrell if Tedesco, one of the most durable players, goes down. Trbojevic needs to go as well. He's clearly a shadow of himself.
