    Best isn't a great pick, but he's about 8th in line so at least he won't be there next year (unless mass injuries again, or he just happens to play well this game and Fittler Fittlers)

    Echoing other people on Walker,
    Not against it, but why now?
    Surely this is the point you look to the future and play Burton or Hynes


    I'd pick Burton over Best, Walker and Gutho in this team

    I can see Walker as an option next year at 34. No reason to think he's slowing down.

    Burton's not an Origin standard half imo.

    Haven't seen many people calling for Burton in the halves, he'd be a good centre or utility where he can cover halves if needed.

    Unlike some blokes, I actually think captaincy, especially in Origin is hugely important. Looking ahead I think Cleary is the obvious choice for NSW. Not too sure who it will be for Qld. Carrigan's name has been tossed up. Maybe Tino, maybe Munster. I think Grant eventually is a certainty.

    That was actually one of Freddy's good calls last year imo. If he's not in space, he's going to get ragdolled. They arent playing the Tigers here, you simply don't get that kind of space in Origin.

    Not to mention the fact he's giving a few inches and a number of kegs away to his opposite and with To'o having a mortgage on the other side, they have no real high-ball target on the wing.

    He is. Munster isn't a captain, and Tino is captain via being the best player for the Titans.

    Carrigan is clearly best choice.

    Munster does a lot of the talking in huddles and will be the only player over 30. Im not ruling him out. Happy either way.

    I think DCE has been a great captain. That try saver on Crichton gave his troops a huge boost purely because it was him doing it and then the break on the next play. Reminded me of JT.
