Thankfully no new rule changes this year. Only about 15 they need to rescind but anyway...

I'm sure you like it, but the enforcement of the play the ball rule is already annoying me after watching last night's trial. The foot rarely touches the ball anyways so who cares, I thought they wanted faster more attacking play.

Anyways, Warriors are no hope, Metcalf's kicking game isn't good enough. Nor was Shaun Johnson's, but now it's even worse.

Nah I dont care about it. As long as they dont just tunnel-ball it, I'm happy. The crackdown wont last.

    Sean O'Sullivan > Katoa

You'd have to have rocks in your head to still think the 7-tackle restart is a good idea. Strategic kicking both short and long, is all but gone. The repetitive nature of 5 plays then midfield bomb is so incredibly boring.

The Langers, Johns, Kimmorleys, Sherwins and Taylors would barely offer their team any advantage these days and their boot used to be worth its weight in gold. It's horrible to watch.

Manly to beat Penrith 1.25 on bet365 atm. Literally free money.

Grubbers are arguably more effective now that the fullback often defends in the line. More and more tries are being scored from them, with Sam Walker being the obvious leading exponent. But yeah Penrith and Cronulla's whole game strategy is what you just described, won't be surprising if they're the GF. It's boring af, and has minimal merit when Cronulla's whole strat is just Mulitalo hoping to bat it back and be rewarded on random probability. Brisbane and Melbourne are different at least, but in night time finals games the better defence/bomb probability strategy is better.

That whole game was shit though because neither team had any halves, may as well scrap it. Kodi Nikorima is past it imo, I see now why NZ didn't want to play him at the end of last season. hopefully Dolphins play Katoa/O'sullivan.

Real opportunity for one of the mid-table teams to move into the top 4 and shake things up. Cant see Easts or Souths doing much of anything until the final third of the year, given the heavy player toll at both.

Bit surprised Newcastle are 3rd favourite for the spoon.

Leniu getting 2 weeks for that in a trial match is an absolute joke.

Nothing in general play. but now if someone is ruled out via HIA after a high shot, the get automatic sin-bin. its going to get so weird...

I'm wondering if they even received any medical consultation on this decision. Someone could take a solid head knock in Round 1 and still pass the HIA, but then in Round 3, they receive one of those innocuous love taps that nearly puts them to sleep. They then fail the HIA and the opponent is in the bin for 10 minutes. Yet, the main cause of the concussion was actually the hit from two weeks earlier, however the player who barely touched them is the one punished.

yeah i lost 2k, they couldn't have played worse. typical manly shitcunts just randomly threw the ball around and kept losing it while reserve grade penrith played a proper patient game.

Given the amount of shite on tv these days, waking up on a Sunday to the footy is pretty great.

Having Meninga and Tallis as commentators is rotting my brain.

Martyn picking up where he left off. Bloke looks like Sam Sulek. Should walk into the Blues side. His energy is infectuous.

Plenty of empty seats in the stadium now thanks to the NRL trying to force everyone to watch the women's game between the two main games.

Haas/Carrigan combo was very good last night. Haas looked so dangerous with that offload.
