I honestly dont think theyre THAT much better with Cleary. And there's no way Schneider shouldnt be in the team imo but thats another discussion.

Cleary's been very good lately at setting up tries, but usually it's just because he's good at organising the game to wear down the opponent. Schneider played like ass in his trial match, he's similar to Cleary so isn't exactly a good halves match for him imo, only as a replacement.

I'm not liking the attacking style we have used. He is getting the ball close to the line and needs quick catch and passing, which isn't suited as you said. He needs to be getting the ball deep with room to create those moments.

Yeah thinking about it probably 3rd behind Hammer.

Oh he's definitely much more similar to Cleary and Talagi is much more similar to Luai. And I assume the 'too similar' reasoning is shared by Ivan. It's bogus in this case tho. The issue arises when you have two dominant halfbacks competing neither of whom know how to play wider. Or when you have two preferred stand-offs and no organising ability. Neither of those are Penrith's situation with playing Schneider imo.

It's much more like when Qld foolishly picked Karmichael Hunt at 6 because it was thought Prince and JT were too similar.

100%. The entire backline is too flat.

Is Walters smoking crack or something? Cunt is bouncing off the walls in that commentary box.

The Gagai/Kelly match-up is like watching battle of the retards.

Titans with their top 4 quality pack....and their bottom 4 everything else.

Strong contender for worst game of the year so far. Absolutely horrendous from both sides.

Walsh's issue is there's no base to speak of. It's all flair or all fail.

Actually, the only time we've seen Walsh's base is in his first 2 Origin games. The Blues contained him pretty well, and Walsh respected the occasion and picked his moments to turn it on.

Newcastle played decent last week so I knew they'd be shit this week. Them and Manly are just a lottery every week with how they'll turn up, zero consistency.

Not starting Schneider was beyond stupid from Cleary.

Is it just me or is Sandon Smith hot garbage?

Drug money's being funnelled through Suncorp? Second week in a row it's apparently 'sold out' and more than half the seats are empty...

    Been heavy rain for days.

Yeah but was the same last week without the rain.

Slater better be taking notes. Nanai is an impact player. If he is to picked for Origin it needs to be on the bench.

He should not even be in the conversation.

Mm. It's only 4 rounds in but yeah I wouldnt be picking him at this stage. He's an absolute weapon off the pine tho.
