    I suppose grade players could be allowed. Just not players who have retired from FC cricket.
    There's about 27 per squad.

    Squads are smaller this year though because of the Big Bash changes.

    I reckon make the rules this:

    - Anyone with a 2011/12 state or national contract
    - Anyone who played in a major grade cricket competition in 2010/11 who hasn't since retired
    - Anyone who played in the Futures League in 2010/11 who hasn't since retired (to include ACT players basically)

    Think it should just be contracted players, tbh. I get where Cribb's coming from, but trying to compare player's who've only played and been heard of in their local state just isn't going to work when you're trying to compare the teams at the end.

    I think the goal of the draft should be to pick the best team you think you can though, not to pick the team that everyone else thinks is gun.

    Will just make it shit, tbh. If I wanted to see a bunch of Sydney-siders pat themselves on the back about how awesome their grade comp supposedly is, I'd go visit the Tasmanian Tigers' dressing room.

    If people want to pick Grade cricket hacks, so be it. Everyone will know how shit the player is if they haven't played FC cricket. These guys should only be around in the last 1-2 picks anyway.
