    Agreed but it is a silly comparison. So much was in Finch's favour then including a biased coach.

    The only fair comparison is to say that odds are neither will ever play Origin from this day forward. However Soward would be picked ahead of Finch anyway.

    Shut up you silly little maggot. There is no way Soward would get the nod ahead of Wallace, Pearce, Campese. He struggles to defend like a first grader in the NRL, how the **** will he defend in Origin. Just for his defence alone he'll miss out.

    I've been a fan of Soward for some time. The kid knows how to attack. He can kick, he can convert and he has bags of talent. He'll be a great player one day, but at the moment his defence is pure dogshit. He couldn't tackle a pillow if his life depended on it.

    In no way, shape or form is he ready for Origin this year or even next year, but I think he will play it one day.

    I absolutely hate Pearce but IMO they are grooming him for the long term NSW half. Campese should be a shoe in for 5/8 for next few years imo. Then you have Wallace, Gidley. I just dont see him getting a start any time soon.

    If you watched Soward in the last 2 weeks his defence has been solid, sure he got trounced by Inglis but then Inglis is a freak and could run over any bloke thats smaller then him if he wanted too.

    Gidley should be nowhere near the halves.

    Your other points stand though ... but I really think Soward will be something as soon as he gets a bit more experience and his defence improves twenty-fold.
