I'm not using the french db makers db. I'm using the february db from pcmdaily.com which is more recent and generally, better. Popovych being 70 still fucks me off and yeah there are a few things (durbridge, definitely) that fuck me off but yeah - it's not going to be perfect. Overall means sfa too, I mean, some pretty average punchers are rated 78 which is where some of the GC contenders lie too. Plenty of good riders have a lower overall than others but the relevant stats towards their goal are still gun so they perform.
Yeah morale's going to be seriously shot on some of them. I don't know what effect it'll have, I've never played through a save on this where my players have had below 'average' morale virtually but I'd assume like most games it's pretty overrated and significant. that said, I'd still back Gesink to do better with shot morale than some of the average mountain domestiques drafted around then etc.
I've only really got Gesink, Schleck and Contador as true leaders. I'd say Gesink will lead a lot of the time he races anyway; I doubt Schleck and Contador will race ever race. Brajkovic I guess too - but with what? Pick 140 I couldn't pass him up. Unless you count Monfort and Taaramae as leaders but I probably wouldn't.
Fair. Probably the db makers underrating track power for raw results. I understand where they're coming from but you'd think Wiggins winning the Tour would change stuff. And yeah nice stats but all they show is that all 8 draftees did a pretty solid job.
I was surprised Vimes didn't take Leukemans. I considered him, Rast, Plaza & Pineau at one point or another.
Oh yeah, exactly - it's anyone's game, I just did a quick check for a little bit of boredom. Doesn't take balance into account at all - i.e. Harps's team is pretty much just all climbers so he'll struggle for any sort of points from flat stages/a lot of classics, for example. I'd still have you up there in the top three.
My team is gun (apparently) and I don't even know much about cycling. Will make a team thread tomorrow.
Yeah, bit too public doper for my taste. Vandenbergh was on my list but I figured his lack of results would cost him in the db. Obviously not. IIRC the superprestige is very similar to the CQ ranking I linked to earlier ftr.
They're the same thing virtually. There's no real winners here - what MM copied was my OP from our failed attempt a year ago.
Yeah - his ban expired 8 weeks ago and after being sacked by quick step he's got noone to race for despite his keenness I thought?
Teams by country looks interesting atm (not done weeman or hoopler's teams) Mariner: 5 from the Netherlands & France, 4 from GB Skippos: 3 from Italy & the Netherlands Vimes: 5 from Belgium KATA: 12 from Spain Noble One: 4 from Italy & France KATA's especially.
