Shhhh Which overweight Gamblers batsmen is in trouble with his club for breaking curfew? The CricSim Herald understands that Brett Gemmell has been told by the Gamblers boss to clean up his act or face termination of his contract. Friends close to Gemmell have told the Herald that the batsman is spending a lot of time out and about and developing a nasty gambling problem. We tried to contact Gemmell early yesterday afternoon where we were met with "No, ****ing comment" before we were hung up on. This is only a sign of what could be this seasons biggest scoop. Stay tuned. Catfish won't give up Despite CricSim Owner Robert Cribb denying any reports of HG Emm's plan to get the Catfish into the Bannerman Shield being possible, Emm doesn't seem to be giving up. There is a lot of interest in the Catfish Cricket Club from new players to seasoned veterans which seems to be why the Catfish's bid continues to look like it's likely. Last week, club owner Emm, put out a press release telling the media that after 12 months the club is ready to move into 'Phase 2' of their 5 Phase Plan to Admission. When asked what this was about, Emm prompted "Watch this space". The plot of the Catfish Cricket Club continues to thicken, what will be next on the agenda? Only time will tell. Stickies Relieved After the Stickies thrilling Bannerman Shield win over the Pumas, we're hearing that a lot of the internal tension has been released. Rumours stating that <a href=http://cricsim.com/site/players.php?id=57>DG Speirs</a> was absolutely fuming over the sides early season form suggesting that he was looking at a massive clear out at the Stickies. It was suggested that many of Speirs off-season signings were under the microscope and their under performing is what made Speirs furious. After their Round 5 win, Speirs has cooled off slightly and is willing to re-evaluate things. The Sticky Wickets are still far from out of trouble though however, with many punters tipping them for the dreaded spoon. The main issues that they face is the failing of their Reserve Grade side the Kings, who have failed to put much pressure on the top squad. Spotted None other than Rob Cribb at Sydney International Airport travelling to India. As a sign of the times, sources to the CricSim Herald have told us that he was going to India for business. It is suspected it has to do with expanding the CricSim Competition and the best way to do so is inviting some of India's finest cricketers to join the CricSim. In a time where outsourcing is the way to go, it seems like Cricket is going a similar way opting to go for the cheap cricketers who will provide similar entertainment than the likes of <a href=http://cricsim.com/site/players.php?id=365>DA Eggman</a> and <a href=http://cricsim.com/site/players.php?id=96>BJ Taylor</a> for half the price. Hunt on the Pursuit Rumours hot off the press are suggesting that Pumas enforcer <a href=http://cricsim.com/site/players.php?id=314>AD Hunt</a> is not happy at the Pumas. According to a number of sources, Hunt is not happy with the training conditions and some of his team mates. Hunt feels as if he is not being paid enough to be worked the way he is. A club insider spoke us telling us that current Pumas coaching staff are brutal in their approach to training. "They're [coaching staff] are working them like dogs. Most of the guys are barely able to walk by the end of the session". Hunt is not one for enormous amounts of training and this is why the Pumas star is so unhappy. It is also suggested that Hunt has had a massive fall out with a number players, especially %MD Dorn. Hunt cannot stand the bloke and at the conclusion of last weeks game, we picked up him talking to Dorn. "You're a F***ing useless p***k of a player, can you ever do anything right". Team morale at the Pumas is at an all-time low. Crusaders repair After a disastrous "cheating" scandal and a club image seriously tarnished, the Crusaders seem to be on a road to recovery. When <a href=http://cricsim.com/site/players.php?id=447>JJ Ritchie</a> took over the club he had a lot of work to do. The team is pulling stronger together than ever before. One of the players within the camp who wished to remain anonymous told us of the club. "All of the boys get on really well, we've forgot about that [cheating scandal] to be honest. Ritchie has really helped the club repair and we're looking good to become a threat over the next couple of seasons. It's a long process but I think we're getting there".
