Yeah roll20 allows everyone to see rolls and draw stuff on the map. Regarding character creation, how do you want ability scores to be decided? A) Point buy system B) Rolling
Rolling but DM has final say on our rolls. If they're unplayable for our class DM can advise a re-roll, if DM thinks they're fair and playable then they are.
Can we do a private character build thing with a back up option? Then the DM can tell us if we get our first choice or not, if we have to go with a back up option we could get a little cool side story bonus thing. We'll need a little variety here.
Okay, I've had a quick read through PHB2/3 and it doesn't seem like they change the rules much if at all, so I'll allow those as well. So basically we now have: Races: Dragonborn, Dwarf, Eladrin, Elf, Half-Elf, Halfling, Human, Tiefling, Deva, Gnome, Goliath, Half-Orc, Shifter, Githzerai, Minotaur, Shardmind, Wilden Classes: Cleric, Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Warlock, Warlord, Wizard, Avenger, Barbarian, Bard, Druid, Invoker, Shaman, Sorcerer, Warden, Ardent, Battlemind, Monk, Psion, Runepriest, Seeker
I think the basic race/class combination should be made public so everyone has a general idea of what roles we have or do not have in the group. For example we don't want everyone to be a human fighter. Everything else can be kept secret and you guys can find out about the other characters in game.
IE in RollPlay some of the back stories are obviously way more awesome thanks to DM tinkering, could be an incentive to play something you might not want to be straight up. Ideally I'd want to be a Fighter/Paladin Human probably but a half-orc shaman with a cool story might be a goer for me. Hypothetically you know.
Currently doing so with Eskie. I'm happy to start on Sunday this week and go for a weekly sunday thing. My GF is also keen. Looks like we want a limit of 6 though, so who is in?
I am in can probably only do sunday if it is late afternoon early evening. could do saturday as well.
Steps to character creation: 1) Pick Race and class 2) Pick skills 3) Pick feats 4) Pick powers 5) Pick equipment 6) Pick name, age, gender, height, weight 7) Pick alignment 8) Pick deity (optional) 9) Write backstory and run it by me (optional) Let me know if you need help with any of these steps. For example, if you don't know what skills/feats/powers you can get or if you are just lost in general.
