    It's irrelevant about the what ifs. If Dugan had caught that ball, run into open space and scored a try then we'd all be calling Gallen a genius. As it was, nothing really eventuated from it. Players these days do as much as they can without giving away a penalty, so once again Gallen did no wrong as he didn't step over the line. How was Harrison better in Attack than Gallen? Harrison was very average, not bad, just average, didn't really set anything up. Thaiday's attack was more potent than Harrison's but even then it was as good as Gallen's.

    If we picked the right props it wouldn't be that much of an issue though.

    Everyone cried foul about Dugan but it was Jason King who was THE main problem tonight. Dugan was solid and every time he looped around down the left hand side it was about the only good thing about our attack. He put more people into space than Soward and Pearce.

    Harrison threw a very, very ordinary ball that hit the ground between Tonga and Boyd when Qld were under pressure as well.

    Thurston stripping ball of Uate. Dugan getting tackled in mid air. Pearce's pass was not forward, well no more forward than Smith's passes.

    Petero threw that shit offload to Slaters knees and Slater couldn't handle it resulting in a turnover in our own half after we had only just managed to hold out. Then off the back of that, he missed a poor tackle attempt on Bird which resulted in a 6 pointer for NSW. Yet you're willing to dismiss these as minor hiccups. Gallens efforts were no worse.

    Through good luck, not his good management. I'm sure you were happy with him dropping the ball second tackle last year too because QLD didn't score from it. What a bullshit justification.

    Harrison made excellent in-roads and was vital in the QLD attack as a decoy runne. He also did a fair bit of work through the middle and got a couple of nice offloads away.

    How the fuck was Gallen awesome yet Harrison "very average"?

    Please.

    Yeah, Thurston's and Dugan's definitely should've been penalties. Mind you, so should the tackle on Yow Yeh (IIRC) that went well past horizontal.

    Nah no way. It's a stupid argument (Harrison vs Gallen) anyway. They wear the same number but that's where the similarity in their roles end. Gallen played large chunks of the game officially at prop (with Creagh at lock).

    I don't care for either player, I don't care for either team. I'm rating it off one performance, if he gives away penalties in the second game, then yeah, he's indisciplined. The Storm often lie a bit longer in defence, it's been called great tactics and often wins them matches- are you gonna say that the whole team is indisciplined because they do that and it's just good luck? Your point is entirely moot.

    Harrison didn't really make any inroads, for the most part, he ran sidewards and was stopped with relative ease. Where have I said Gallen was awesome? Don't put words in my mouth.

    You're right. Should've used stronger language than minor hiccups. I was talking about Thaiday as well though, mainly about a few defensive lapses.

    Civoniceva's two poor plays were extremely poor, you're right. I don't think they were any worse than Gallen's offload, or his miss on Slater though.
