Just watched the final 10 minutes again. Starting from the set that Ennis does a shit kick.

71:04 - Slater fields a shit kick from Ennis on the 2m line and the disjointed kick chase from the middle third allows him to make 10 pretty easy metres from a slow kick that bounces.

71:12 - Locky gets into acting half and passes to Yow Yeh who makes about 11m getting to the 40m line and gets an amazing offload away to Thaiday who makes it to the 50. Awesome play.

71:26 - Slater into acting half passes to Locky at 1st reciever who calls Parker behind him and Parker steps out of Pearce's tackle and runs for about 8 metres before being stopped by the defence, while being lifted he offloads to Nielsen who does a good job to get in behind the defence and runs for another 10m before being stopped just short of the 30m line. While the tackle is being completed Scott is screaming for the ball.

71:45 - Smith passes to Scott about 33m from the tryline and he lakes a B-line at Ennis and tramples him and cracks the line with Ennis just manages to hang onto a boot. He is eventually brought down 15 metres out.

71:50 - By now this raid down the right corridor has forced 9 NSW players to be on that side of the uprights with only 3 on the other and 1 right under the black dot. Meanwhile there is a deadly formation brewing deep to QLD's left and Thurston and Locky can smell blood with Slater looming behind them and Harrison, Tonga to their left and an unmarked Boyd on the far wing.

71:53 - Scott plays the ball to Smith who gives a quick ball to Thurston at 1st receiver. Thurston takes a few steps and passes to Lockyer, who is running a slight angle, this gets the attention of Beau Scott on his right and Gaznier to his left. Harrison is screaming through on his left which fills Gaz's boots with a combination of concrete and excrement and Scott is forced to make a late decision to get to him while Gallen makes little effort to go with him. This leaves a hole for Locky to straighten and pop it to slater who busts through the belated tackle of Gallen and cover defence of Dugan to score with the clock reading 71:58.

They made it from the 20m line to the try line in less than a minute and less than 5 tackles. Unbelievable attacking set with a perfect finish.

 

NSW were rooted, they are turning their backs and blowing hard. They didn't have anything left. But we had a secret weapon, we had QLD spirit :troll:.

 

To be fair to Ennis he had the most bloodthirsty cunt on the field running at him. Gallen and Pearce just stand there and watch it unfold. Ennis at least made the effort to cling to his shoelace otherwise Scott scores himself.

 

It does, you should try it sometime, tastes like victory.

Much better than MM's which must taste like a cocktail of mediocrity and broken promises.
