I'd rather have an ever-changing halves combination if it meant getting the two points each week. I don't really care if they won or not. That is totally incidental when you're talking about specific players and how they played. Tupou's misses won't be any less harmful next week because the Cows won the week before. Thompson's errors tonight were no less costly because the Cows won. Even Ben Jones would make a better 6 than Thompson IMO. Anyway, congrats to the Cowboys. Definitely an improvement but still shitloads of work to go. A win at home will mean a good start to the season which is very necessary.
Fair enough, I do get where you are coming from. Guess we will see what happens next week, Id be less bothered by Thompson if Bani gets the axe. Definitely work to be done but its good to win a close game.
I've always disliked him - even when most Broncos fans were waxing lyrical about him - But now it's moved into serious hatred.
The Broncos have put on a lot of weight. Anderson is getting on my nerves. I think he is average. Also Tronc needs to throw half the offloads he does. He puts unnecessary pressure on the receiver.
Yeah. Cowboys endured his frivolity for years. He's like Carl Webb - If he doesn't make a gain after contacting the line, he immediately turns to offload and usually does so under pressure. A few of them were quite handy. Others not so much.
Fairly surprising that the Cowboys were able to win with only 46% possession and 24 errors and penalties as opposed to Brisbane's 56% and 15 errors and penalties.
He fucking dominated. He destroyed Anderson everytime he had the ball. Fatty was on the money once tonight when he was saying that Sims is a gun. Nah, Bowen's was not even close. Anyway, fucking spewing about the result. Lockyer was unbelievable, he is in for a massive year this year. Thaiday, McCullough, Wallace, Tronc Hunt, Parker, Teo, Glenn and Yow Yeh all had fucking shockers. Glenn needs to be out in the centres next game. And if Tronc offloads with 5 people on him again I'm going to kill him.
@ Gemmell. How was Bowen's not even close? It was a millimetre from being a try. In fact, I thought it was. Sims was good in defence - Very aggressive. He did fuck all in attack though for a starting prop. Tamou was much better.
