Hurricane Australia 15 - 6 Wales Fiery and me win the bet
Wales just ccan't break teams down. I thought they probably would have scored when they had the scrum going forward and we had 13 men but Davies decided to go himself. He should have kept the ball in the scrum. Getting the easiest quarter final is a huge advantage.
On this I'm pretty certain that the commentator on the Scotland game usually does football duty for ITV.
Haha - ready when you are. Fire away with your avatar. 2 weeks each iirc. Davies in general is not a player I like if today's performance is anything to go by. With wales building multi phase ball just on the 22 instead of recycling it quickly he did that thing where half backs sit with it at the back of the ruck just waiting to keep the opposition guessing as to when they will pass it exactly. And he would sit there and wait for 4-5 seconds each time on each phase and kill off any momentum and allow the defence to re-establish itself. Wales aren't out of the reckoning of this world cup. I don't think they emptied the tank today. They will go all out in the quarterfinal.
Cannot believe how well Aus defended and how bad Wales were trying to convert 2 man advantage. Some terrible white line fever from the forwards!
Missing! Reward available. The impact of the England flankers. Yesterday in a mismatch against the plucky hardworking Uruguay, the English flankers went missing.....again. The last sight of them was the big, slow witted one knocking on several times before the other big slow one knocked on. One of them was then humanely put down and replaced by a big, slow witted but thinner one who was seen for a few mins giving dumb penalties away before also vanishing.... If anyone has seen a competent well balanced back row then please contact the RFU to claim the reward as England Head coach
Well no they didnt. Thats a very simplistic view of it. They only scored one try against us but got 21 points from penalties. And their try was ridiculous - a line break out wide which was kicked through to the middle which Davies got to first. I can only think of one maybe two other big line breaks all game. Against the Aussies they didnt kick for goal when they got all those attacking penalties. If theyd done that against us who's to say they wouldnt have been shut out as well
Thats one of the most annoying things about that Eng Wal game, why didn't Robshaw say 'look at the state of the backline and the scrum and we're 7/10 point s up, just stop giving up penalties, don't risk anything at the breakdown and this game is ours!" Simple captaincy you'd expect from an U12 team
Its been a symptom of our play for a long time. Get a penalty to go 2 scores ahead, immediately give a penalty away in our territory to drop the defecit back again
It's nice to think that they could have sorted it out if only they had played simple tactics correctly but the reason they kept giving away penalties is because the pack played like complete toilet. This wasn't a selection/tactical thing
6 months ago our pack was the bee's knees. It just hasnt turned up at all which has been so disappointing. Can maybe only say Billy V and the 2nd rows put in any kind of decent shift
