Yeh he was but I just don't know if the bunker is allowed to get involved in something like that. Not sure I would've been comfortable with the bunker getting involved in that either, I hate it when they rule on it for penalty goals. Something that should stay with the onfield ref.. even when that is Ashley Klein..

The fact that's their only try in the last 163 minutes at Suncorp though is a dire situation.

Glad this is getting some chat and I wasn't the only one to notice it... Just didn't feel like an origin game last night. Didn't feel like a Qld team at Suncorp, they rolled over too easily.

Feel like this is where they miss a guy like Gilbert.

 

Yeh I get what you're saying and they've definitely ruled on it in drop goal situations but for me it's like slowing down the ruck, it comes down to the on field referees interpretation because they let more go than they call. It's usually an accumulation of offsides that results in the ref blowing the whistle, you always hear them say something like I warned you last set of that was two times in a row when they do blow the whistle.

I remember the NRL presenting the data one time and it was something like a team is offside about 30-60 times per game so I think you're opening a can of worms if you let the bunker rule on offside within the 10. Then do you allow captains challenge on them too?

I was surprised the ref didn't call it live given it resulted in an error, so often you often see them call it when it impacts the play negatively but it was Klein he's not the most switched on.

 

I appreciate it's a selection of minimal significance but picking Fermor to debut, playing him for 17mins off the bench to then drop him for Kurt Capewell who was available for selection last time around is just peak no fucking idea what you're doing.

 

Hoping Queensland aren't as submissive tonight as they were in Game 1, was missing that origin intensity and hate.

 

lol @ calling offside 5 seconds after a knock on when there's been multiple players offside all game and not one has been called. 8-2 penalty count is wild.

Has been no flow to the game so hard to get a read on where NSW are at but they have looked clunky in good ball, Cleary doesn't look 100%.
