    Rotterdam - Finals

Bruce Force has taken home his first singles title, coming from behind to win in three sets. Andrew James broke Force in his second game of the match via a deuce, but the Englishman broke right back with a winner to level things once again. Force was then getting put under pressure, going to four deuces in a game but somehow holding on. The inevitable break came from James not long after that, and he held serve in the next game to take the first set. In the second, James broke early again, but this time Force seemed more than ready to step up to the challenge, breaking James in a love game. He then went on to take the next three games to level proceedings at one set all. James looked in good form at the start of the third, continuing his habit of breaking Force early in the set. However that was the last game he would win in the match, with his opponent stepping up a notch to claim the title in impressive style. In the doubles, Wes Welker & Gareth Weaver found success on the indoor surface, faltering only briefly in the middle of the match to come home in three over Reagan Wheelson & Os du Toit. The first was a tight affair, with neither pair able to force any kind of advantage. A tiebreak was looming, until out of nowhere Welker/Weaver took three points on the bounce for the set. In the second, the play was not much different, apart from du Toit and co actually took their chances, in one instance this was due to one of their opponents falling over, but still. They won the set. The final set was a bit of a walkover really, Welker showing a little of the form that won him two singles titles, Weaver performing admirably. Wheelson's serving went to pieces, he was quite literally serving up points for his opponents. He'll be disappointed with that.

    Brasil - Finals

Alistair Son goes home from this tournament with his head held high, despite not winning either final he was involved in today. Things started off well for him, winning the first set against Joshua Ritchie, but it all went downhill from there. Son's serving wasn't going well, and his difficulty dealing with Ritchie's highlighted the root of his problems today. Ritchie kept at it, and although he wasn't the fastest on court, his placement with his superb forehand more than made up for it. He ended up winning with three match points to spare. Son's inability to deal with an average serve on this slowish surface could be problematic in future. Son carried some dejectedness from the loss into the doubles with Brett Hall, where he again failed to deal with a slightly better serve. As Dyer racked up the aces, Deane put some tasty winners in to ensure that the losing pair got dominated. The scoreline in the final set really flattered the losers, though it was an achievement to hold on as long as they did. Congratulations to all of this week's winners.
