    Nah it's not really a keepers issues anymore with the new wicket keeping signups; it's a "stacked Second XI sides, and clubs deciding it's better to rob other clubs of players than chase up their inactives".

    We definitely won't be starting the season until every club has 24 players anyway so if it actually is in all the clubs' interests to make sure this is achievable.

    You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. I'd be happy with a team of decent active guys more than "good" players. Yeah, people could chase up guys who have been inactive all season, get them to sign contracts etc. but then you end up with the case where you have guys like Somerset who are active who end up not playing 2nds because you've filled the line-up with guys who post once a season and aren't interested.

    Obviously that changes a lot if you bring in an extra team but it's a concern if active guys are missing out for guys who've posted once a season. At least IMO.

    You don't have to select them though; you just have to make sure you find a place for them in your 24, or other clubs won't get 24 and the season will never start.

    You don't have to have 24 active guys to have a good subforum, and if you did we'd only be able to have about 5 teams.

    Yeah that'd be a big part of the discount. I certainly can't imagine myself setting it up so a club couldn't retain its local juniors.

    Would you be totally against legend contracts? It'd be for players who go inactive and need to be continually chased down to re-sign but have played at a particular club for the majority of their Cricsim career. The players themselves would have to give their consent but after they have their club can use them freely for as long as Cricsim is around whether it's just as an injury replacement or an ALC player etc. If they become active again a few seasons down the track the contract becomes void and they can sign with any club they want.

    Nah fillers are nerfed to be automatically shit, and you can't select them if you have signed players not getting a game.

    Firmly against the idea for a few reasons I explained in a post that never got submitted though.
