I think it's more representative of the fact that most of the blokes you'd want to approach to be part of a new team are already happy at the club they're at.
I would have done it in a jiffy, but won't for 2 reasons: 1. I have nfi what to do; and 2. I am not on here consistently enough to do it. BUT: I would gladly help where I can if someone else took the reins.
Maybe a stupid question, but anyway: Must there be a new team, or can those players merely be absorbed by other teams to fill up the rosters better?
Have an invitational team of real life players from somewhere like CricSim did in Season 1 with Ireland?
So, you don't want me to mess around with the Crabs, but your happy for me to do that with the Cnuts? Look, I have no interest in starting season 6 until there are 6 proper teams ready to go. If there aren't, then it won't start - simple as that. All this means is that i have to run the sixth team.
As much as I like it when you get feisty, I do believe that is a strawman. Or at least a falsehood. I was the person who suggested that the collapsing team should be combined with the crabs to give us two first grade teams and one reserve grade team. Anyway truth be told I just wanted to make a post and mention the word Cnuts in it. :ninja:
Could you create a SR Barbarians type team to be the 6th team and avoid the bye? Not sure whether the game would count for points or would just be an exhibition so that at least every team was playing a game of some sort every week. I reckon the latter would work best. I was thinking it could be a mixture of the best players from reserve grade - so the selectors of their club teams would get to see how they perform at the top level. You could leave the selections up to the clubs themselves so wouldn't have to worry about that yourself.
Hows downsizing the comp and not actually replacing the team folding. Would help even the wwiality of the franchises.
