Sounds like we're going for Farrell, Barritt, Burgess in midfield. Wouldn't be what I'd play, but it's still a decent lineup. Lancaster will get crucified if it doesn't work though.
I like all those three players but you won your last game why make changes to critical positions. Ford matches up better against Wales than Farrell probably does because it will be a kicking fest.
Why make changes? The first game was against Fiji. And don't you think it's wise to give everyone a run in the pool games Hurricane?
Best 23 play in the big three matches. Best XV start in the big three matches. Fiji are better talentwise than Japan and look what Japan did to RSA. Japan possibly with the better in game tactics. Yes you can start your second stringers and do whatever you want against Uruguay.
Haha may print that out and file it away for a rainy day. Not many people have been agreeing with me recently. How was your day Fiery? I am hanging out for more rugby to happen over night. Thanks for choosing to come back to these boards for the rugby world cup. Your knowledge of the history of rugby is most excellent. Also I posted my thoughts on Aaron smith looking the business in the Argentina game, and got a number of responses agreeing with me on the silver fern. One fellow says smith is the form player in the world for any position. Simply that he is the IRB star player at the moment. Had to agree with him.
I'm very well thanks mate. Practically jumping up and down with excitement about going to the Namibia game tomorrow night with a mate. Aaron Smith played very well against Argentina, which eased my concerns about his form. I thought he had some dreadful games in the Rugby Championship, so think it is a pretty massive call to say he is the form player in the world atm. For me that would be Israel Folau (as much as it pains me to say it)
How many times have you seen the ABs? I have only seen them once. A wet night at Westpac vs Ireland. Dissapointed that people talked through the haka as i wanted to hear all of it. Should take a "Bring back Buck" sign to the game tomorrow...(joke)
Hmm..lost count. Maybe a dozen? My first was in 1982 at Eden Park v Australia. The most vivid memory of that was being in complete awe (along with everyone else) at Michael Hawker drop-kicking a goal from inside his own half...with one of those old leather balls! Been to a few tests at Eden Park, also a few at Carisbrook and Twickenham. Also one in Paris and one at Murryfield last year, which was my last until tomorrow night. And yeah it shits me when the English sing "Swing Low" during the haka. They even did it to the Fijians. Poor.
I wonder if there will be any "Bring Back Buck" signs tomorrow night, Hurricane ? I wouldn't bet against it.
Yeah get your own thread ya NZ shunts.... Not liking that new midfield... Really worry that the ball will get lost there and never make it to our potent back 3. I fear playing Burgess over Slade can only be because they want the extra defence but I dont see why. I also think Burgess will be most effectively used as an impact player running hard against tired defences
