Got tickets to Asking Alexandria in April, In Hearts Wake and Violent Soho in June. Will be siiiiick. Northlane and Hands like Houses touring with In Hearts Wake, that will be fucking mental
So went to Homegrown, was really fucking awesome. Was my 4th time seeing Shapeshifter and it's up there with their best I've been to in competition with their Welly town hall concert back in 2013. Good day out, got to see: Avalanche City Ladi6 Black Seeds Peacekeepers Kora Shapeshifter Would have gone to David Dallas but he was the same time as Ladi6 / me needing food.
Iggy Pop and The Pretenders added to Roskilde lineup. So look forward to seeing them, At The Drive-In, New Order, LCD Soundsystem and Tame Impala. Red Hot Chilli Peppers there too but will probably give them a miss. Can't stand them. One of the worst bands ever imo
They suck. Bunch of douchebags. Kiedis's nasally voice is like nails on a blackboard, and he can't sing for shit live. All their songs and albums sound the same. If a Chili Peppers song ever comes on the radio I can't change the station quick enough. Truly believe they're the most overrated band in history.
Douchebags??? They're really nice, genuine people. Michael (Flea) volunteers and spends so much on his music school so that kids can learn to play stuff for free, constantly supports all initiatives. They're definitely not walking around like Justin Bieber. They had their drug problems in their earlier stages but tbh what rock band didn't from that era. It's ok to not like their music but douchebags seems a tad unjustified. Kiedis' voice is actually really good, quite distinct from the typical shit these days. That sums up the RHCP's music as a whole...
Total douchebags. You're never going to make me like them Rego. Their music makes my gringe. They lack personality and talent and sound horrible and tinny. Banal, tedious, try-hard rock that makes me want to shove sharpened pencils into both ears. But each to their own.
I do have a soft spot for Coldplay yeah. But they're kind of a guilty pleasure. Not really into pop music at all. And that's pretty much what Chili Peppers were. Favourite bands are probably The Pixies, R.E.M and The Fall. Of classic bands The Who >Stones > Beatles Loved punk and New Wave in the early to mid 80s, and a lot of alternative/indie stuff. And good electronic music. Flying Nun a huge influence on my musical tastes too.
Dunno. Just can't stand the way they perform or sound. That floppy-haired, permanently shirtless, fuckknuckle Kiedis is completely devoid of personality on and off stage and can't sing for shit. They suck so bad I don't even like talking about them. Can we change the subject?
