Does Fy even know who RHCP are?

Calling Kiedis devoid of personality after just saying you like Chris fucking Martin is so fucking retarded it can't actually be happening.

Yet none of their songs ever really get played on the radio. Most non listeners would know Under the Bridge, Californication, Otherside and that's probably about it - maybe Give it Away and Can't Stop as well and that's it. RHCP came from small things, wasn't until BSSM they really kicked off. That album made them.

Also those things you outline doesn't make someone a douchebag albeit false anyway.

RHCP Genres:

Coldplay is waaay more pop than the RHCP is. Oh and Coldplay is waaaaaaaay more commercial. Your argument is flawed. It's ok if you don't like their music but saying this excess stuff is just untrue.

Of course I know who they are. They made my ears bleed for years when I had mates who liked them at uni.

And I never said I liked Chris Martin. He's rather boring too, but at least he's got a lot of vocal and keyboard talent. Kiedis has nothing. I have actually met Kiedis btw

I know full well Coldplay are quite poppy, but it's timeless all-ages music too. And I know liking Coldplay is considered "uncool", but to me RHCP are about the most uncool band in history. Think they just tried too hard to be cool, but failed really badly imo

You didn't read the article did you? Even this dude goes onto say they've made good music.

Final paragraph:

RHCP may not be a "cool" band, but in twenty-five years, they've made some great music. Maybe they're dumb, maybe they're regurgitating trends from decades past, but not every rock band has to be made up of avant-garde Ph. D. candidates. In fact, I sort of wish fewer of them were. — Dustin Bird

Other paragraphs:

Flea looks really, really goofy, but he's also probably the best rock bassist to be in a platinum-selling band since John Entwistle or Geddy Lee.

There were two parts to the article written by different people...someone who disliked them first followed by someone who liked, Rego. I obv agreed with the top one.

We don't have to like the same music. One man's meat is another man's poison.

There are one or two of their songs I can stomach actually, like Scar Tissue

It was a contrasting article from the 2 different opinion groups. It was a fucking silly article to quote. If it had been "world votes RHCP as worst band" or something of the sort you'd have more validity. Every artist has contrasting opinion groups.

10. Fiery GR Smith

 OK mate

What was "fucking silly" was you quoting from the pro-Peppers part in response to me and not realising I was talking about the anti-Peppers part. Didn't think I needed to specify what part I agreed with.

I'm sorry that I hate your favourite band Rego. Sue me.

I knew you were talking about the anti portion (obviously) but what I was trying to get at is it was a fucking stupid article to use when it had pro comments in there....you can hardly be like X and Y is just so bad, this article evidently shows that and then give an article that has both a negative and positive side. Don't think it'd go down too well at a debate......

I don't care that you don't like them, more just the stupid excess comments that are laughable.

12. Fiery GR Smith

Just my opinion of them. I don't care if you think it's stupid. I hate them for the same reasons as the bloke in that article, which is why I quoted it.

They suck ass. Always have, always will. Hate all that boganny/skateboard/slacker/subhuman subculture crap music that came out around then, but they were the worst. Then all the bands that came out after that were influenced by them. Christ, I would even prefer to listen to Blink-182 over the Chili Peppers. That's how bad they are.

How can you not like a band that has Will Ferrell as their drummer.

14. AVA T Delonge

Not saying much. Blink are GOAT

Pre-break-up Blink is GOAT because Tom Delonge used to be cool. Now he's just a fat douche bag.

seen RHCP twice, first time was an amazing gig, they were absolutely spot on, and had James Brown supporting. Saw them at Leeds a few years later and it was genuinely the worst performance of a band I've ever seen, Kiedis was too busy having hissy fits about absolutely nothing and storming off stage to leave the rest of the band to jam for 10 minutes as a filler, he'd only do songs off Stadium Arcadium (an awful album), which is fair enough on your own tour promoting it, but when your headlining a festival infront of 150,000 over 2 days (as they play Reading too, apparently he was just as bad there). Could tell he had zero fucks about being there and giving a performance at all. Apparently he was an absolute cunt backstage too, according to a couple of guys I know who were playing on the 2nd stage that weekend.

Also had Mike Patton removed from the line up, because Kiedis accused Patton of stealing his style in the early 90's!

Most of the band are pretty cool, but Kiedis is apparently a massive cock in general.

Doesn't help he looks like Ian Watkins mentor

Patton > Kiedis

By so fucking much it isn't funny.

18. BigGuns DA Astele

Patton is indeed a god. The Real Thing is another classic from my teen years.
