Yeah that's just purely personal preference, don't rate Jennings and while Morris can be pretty dire, his performances for the Blues can't be ignored. I recognise that Jennings has been good in the regard too.

Really don't rate Roberts though and hate that he's being mentioned in alot of circles. An athlete, not a footballer.

Looks a born rugby league player to me.

I like Jack Bird too actually.

Roberts ability to create something out of absolutely nothing makes him extremely tempting to pick but his defence is just too suspect and he struggles for endurance at club level, he'd get found wanting at Origin level at this stage of his career IMO.

Josh Mansour is the other really tempting outside back pick, his ability to take workload off his fullback/centres & forward pack makes him extremely valuable. If we pick Matty Moylan (which I'm a fan of) then Mansour is pretty much a must. Less so if we go with Tedesco or Dugan.

My biggest issue with Jack Bird is that he's only got 27 First Grade games under his belt, I'd like to see him get a little more experience before he makes the jump up.

I'm not convinced he'd be in a position to perform any better than the alternatives options, Josh Dugan or Jack Wighton. Even if he has more skill.

I don't like Mansour as an Origin player.

Are Austin and Sezer due return in rd 5?

  8. Julian BJ Taylor

    Yeah they're playing tomorrow night.

I'd love for NSW to pick Roberts. Inglis would eat him alive.

We're in a position that there's a few blokes that everyone could deal with in each position, which normally means NSW will fuck it and do something like pick Sione Mata'utia at centre and William Hopoate at fullback.

I didn't realise that Papalii's been playing on the left edge. I'd pick him to start and probably just pick a big bench with Thaiday, McGuire and Lillyman.

  12. Julian BJ Taylor

    And drop Guerra?

  13. Ged GEC King

Yeah. He's been playing like puss. Thaiday can play on an edge if needed and Lillyman and McGuire both deserve to be there.

  14. Julian BJ Taylor

Yeah I agree with you. Just wasn't sure.

    Hail Sezer.

    FB. James Tedesco
    RW. James Roberts
    RC. Josh Dugan *
    LC. Michael Jennings
    LW. Jack Wighton
    FE. Blake Austin
    HB. Aidan Sezer
    FR. Aaron Woods
    HK. Robbie Farah
    FR. James Tamou
    RS. Tyson Frizzell
    LS. Greg Bird
    LK. Paul Gallen

    INT. Paul Vaughan
    INT. Bryce Cartwright
    INT. David Klemmer
    INT. Luke Lewis

    * Dugan defending kicks on the sting would probably work better than Roberts.

Long way out and plenty can change but that's what I'm leaning towards. If I had to pick a team top play in a fortnight, that'd be it. I've got nothing against Wade Graham but if he doesn't start I don't see much point in picking him on the bench.

I just do not get the fuss over Frizzell.

I'd pick Ennis over Farah from what I've seen last season and this season thus far.

  19. Julian BJ Taylor

Ennis might be a better player but he's way better at shitting the bed in Origin than most people from NSW not named Mitchell.

With Tesesco at FB you may need the more creative player at 9.

I'd consider playing Moylan at the back and have Tedesco on the wing. He was there for City last year from memory and did alright.
