No it doesn't. It's a classic debut record. You don't like rock and roll or garage rock, we know that by now.
Well no, but with time it doesn't become on of the regular records you play. However the feeling of the music, the vibe it gives, just feels like it fits to driving around with the windows down, on a nice warm evening, with a good bit of music on in the background. I, as probably many people do, will listen to different types of music given the situation. In the nice summer months my mood will tend to more garage rock style of stuff - Nirvana, Bush, AiC CD's will come out, as the sun goes down the mood becomes last manic and a bit more relaxed, where Y&YM comes in - if I'm driving around in the dark I'll probably go for something a bit more classic rock, it just suits the atmosphere. Likewise in winter I'll tend to music thats a bit more chilled, or spaced out, in comparison. Pink Floyd, 70s Bowie, maybe something thats a bit more folkish, or piano based. Doesn't mean I won't listen at other times, just thats when my mood fits the album more - so yeah, its a great summer album, and its the kind of thing I'll stick in the car for that time of year.
