Same lady who wrote that also wrote something else called Lilly Potter something something but besides that and the name muggles she didn't steal anything so meh
Just read up on that. The author of "The Legend of Rah and the Muggles" actually lost that case and there were almost no real similarities other than two words from two different novels of hers (Potter and Muggles). It was even stated that the author modified her work to insert the word "muggle" here and there and submitted fraudulent documents. She was fined heavily by the court for that.

First book had a pretty bad writing style (was it her first book?) and some pacing issues. It definitely got better.
Yeah, it was her first. The fifth wasn't great as far as pacing is concerned as well, but it gets better towards the end imo.
As a kid, I personally enjoyed the fourth book the most. It felt the most action packed without getting too dark.
It had a dragon so that makes it cooler than most books except the one where they escaped gringotts on one.
