    lol. The Roosters bought the best player in the game (IMO) in that off season. They re stabilised their pack with a good coach behind them. You seriously can't compare the quality of the Roosters and the Crusaders.

    I hate the **** but he's the best player I've ever seen come through the ranks (considering the likes of Daley, Fittler, Lockyer, Johns etc etc) were all in or hitting first grade when I was very, very young.

    I thought taht you meant that you'd like to see a replay of the games from 96...which was actually 97. There's also the fact thatBrisbane didn't win a comp until 92.

    But, regardless of all this, using the WCC as proof is just ridiculous, beyond belief. Your season is already going for a month when the game is played while it's still pre-season here. Then you add into this the fact that the game is in England, in pretty much your winter, which is thus much colder than we are used to. Then there's the fact that the premiers here often lose a few blokes from the previous season due to the salary cap. A prime example of this will be St.George who will be without, at the very least, their best player, Costigan :p, and other blokes like Saffy because they've gone elsewhere.

    I mean, send out your best team in the mid-June and have them play the team that's coming last in the nrl at the time and I'd back the NRL team.
