Yeah to be fair that list is a bit of a joke. No Waterman, Hardisty, Johansen, Bevan, Winton, Cameron-Reeves or Hayes who all are ND standard IMO. It's got more fringe players that clubs want to have a closer look at than genuine talent hence the long lists from NSW etc.
Good question. Last year clubs knew he was so young and knew what he could do and passed over him. Blokes like Aish were only a few weeks older and went high, it's not like he was discriminated against, it's just that clubs didn't rate him. Given the bias against older players in drafts Kayne would be, like Brayshaw and Petracca, a top aged player in this one. Assuming his birthday was 1/1/96 I'd probably say third round, knowing what we know about him now.
Being on AFL list has been important I reckon. Doubt he puts on the 8kgs or whatever he has if he isn't on an AFL list.
Continuing from this point, where do you think Brayshaw and Petracca would go if they were a few weeks older (i.e. if they were in last year's draft).
Hey Skippos, any chance of you putting your draft predictions in code next time? It's a cunt to scroll through on my phone.
Assuming nothing changes bar their birthdays. Brayshaw: 9-15 Petracca: 3rd round (played as a 3rd tall forward last year...needed to prove himself in the middle to be a high pick and last year he didn't - his rise has been this year) Petracca based on what he is now - anywhere between 2-10 Sure, I'll fix it up with the next update.
