It's interesting how much these new, active players are raising the bar in ALC. The Test Eagles won the comp last season, and granted we were probably only the second best team, but we have an extremely similar side this season and seem destined for mid-table mediocrity. I don't think we've had players decline either as such; the other clubs have just picked up development players to really bolster the side and it's working for them. I suppose we don't have Phlegm anymore and he was immense but the general standard of this competition is much better than it ever has been before.. which I suppose a requirement when you're looking to expand for the following season.
