    Team Diary - Entry 1:

Well it was an overcast day at Jubilee Oval, Glebe. We had a new addition to our training ranks - Steve Magoffin. However, he came home late as he was kicking howardj's arse in Brisbane. Lucky I employed his spies! Anyway, it was pretty good, however Mohammad Amir was spotted talking to some shady match-fixer, and Chesteshwar Pujara went to buy a taxi licence. Daryl Tuffey looked out of shape, and Barath did not train due to injuries. He should be back within a couple of months. Otherwise, it was pretty good.

Strangely he returned gun simming stats in CPL NZ though. I guess morgie's stats include his Tests where he wasn't awesome, and this season where he's been poor.

Yeah it included the tests, and was only from 2008/09. Interesting that he was so good in the New Zealand shit - he was pretty much unavailable for a while due to ICL.

This is what he's done in the Plunket Shield in the last four seasons, not including this one:

    2006/07 - 3 wickets @ 25.33
    2007/08 - Did not play
    2008/09 - 27 wickets @ 20.96
    2009/10 - 2 wickets @ 40.50

So the only season he played more than a couple of games in, he carved. Don't think he's been very good this season though.

    So far he's - 3 wickets @ 51.00

Doesn't look like he's played much however.

EDIT: Yeah, he's only played 2 games this year.

We now add former Indian captain and batsman Sourav Ganguly.

He's still playing FC cricket oddly enough, so he shouldn't be treated as retired.

    **** you ****

Day 2, and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly was picked up by Pujara at the taxi licence place and came along for training. With him still in peak shape, we decided to sign him for Season 2. More interesting was that Mohammad Amir was spotted wearing a "legalise cannabis" t-shirt to training, showing why he got busted for match-fixing.

Tempted to give you an offer for Shazhad...

    I'm listening.

Morkel, McLaren or van der Wath, imo.

What a shit trade that would be. Worth chancing your luck though I guess.

Haha, McLaren isn't too far off, tbh. VDW is approaching respectability as an offer.

    Taylor or Dexter?

In other news, local butchers everywhere have chipped in to support the Carvers.

When I went to buy a steak a couple of nights back, a man responded to me "hey you're the guy that owns the Carvers (TM) franchise! You go boy. Here, here's some free meats for all ya lads".

The club looks like signing a multi-billion dollar deal with Coca-Cola and Centerlink to sponsor the fledging franchise, which will give it well known name recognition. As in his playing days, Burridge's club was sponsored by Centerlink, and he used to feature in Coca-Cola ads when he was seen as a sex symbol, it was natural to sign the dotted line with these blokes.
