Whats up with Pendles ? hearing he might not play (same with beams?) surely they both play ? also Keefe in for Brown ? and who comes in for Sinclair
Pendles got a knock to his ankle but he should be right to play. I haven't heard anything about Beams though? Yep Keefe for Brown would be a certainty and I reckon Fasolo may come in for Sinclair as he's been playing down back a fair bit in the pre season
I have been thinking the same thing. My only guess is that because he's probably one of the better field kickers in the side that we want him delivering the ball out of the backline.
Big win and Cloke having no impact was a great result last night. Pendles showed he was a class above just about everyone on the field in tricky conditions
I actually thought he played really well. He did a lot of little things that may go unnoticed like tap ons, little dinky handballs to advantage and also pressure off the ball. I need to watch the replay though to make a call about his ruck work but he seemed to be ok. How did you rate him watching the match on tv?
It was the first game where I saw in Witts what I saw in him in his draft year. I had him ahead of Longer and top 10 that year - and I thought he was the most mobile +200cm bloke since Cox, let alone at 208cm. Seems to have a really good top speed, really good agility and enough strength. Seems a real physical specimen, really. His ruckwork is shoddy, though. Doesn't use his body well enough and doesn't read the tap well. It's the worst for a 208cm bloke I've ever seen. Thought he'd be able to improve it but hasn't - it was a real question in his draft year. He's definitely a 3rd forward who provides a point of difference but also handles the ruck relief, not a ruck who can go forward right now.
Yeah I was saying to my mate last night that as good as Grundy and Witts are or can be, they need to get more dangerous up forward and kick a couple of goals between them a game
