I am thinking we keep squad sizes at 18 and we bring the total league to a total of 26 teams. Thoughts? That means we get at least 5 new teams and possibly more if some people do not want to carry on. Any more than that and I think we will see a real quality drop.
If existing owners could also keep an eye out for anyone expressing interest in co-owning their team it would be appreciated too.
personally don't like having so many teams. Feels it will really detract from the quality and if you get a star bowler in round 1 you will just run through teams mediocre batsmen
We will see no real drop in quality of batting lineups by extending it from 22-26. To keep up a Test quality standard of batting lineups we'd have to play a max of 12 teams, CPL as it is will always see domination by the worlds best players but the glory of it is picking the domestic triers and the no-hopers who all of a sudden become world-beaters in this. Effectively I have taken away around a maximum of 8-12 Test players by bringing in 4 new teams and I do not see that making any real difference. What I want more is having active people in this that will enjoy the sim.
what are your thoughts on having a different kind of draft order for the first 3 rounds then to compensate those who dont get a chance at taking a top bowler in the first round? Round 1 1 2 3 . . . 24 25 26 Round 2 26 25 24 . . . 3 2 1 Round 3 26 25 24 . . . 3 2 1 Round 4 1 2 3 . . . 24 25 26
Interesting idea, it only really gives a disadvantage to 1-13 who will almost certainly pick up a much higher calbre of player than anyone else with their first round pick. Will probably put this to a vote nearer the date. Still open to any other ideas.
All good. Should be able to team up with someone I reckon. I think Marcuss is in this too so I might try to seduce him.
Yeah the above. Giving some time for the confirmations of interest before I remove their teams from the next season.
