    Hmmm... I guess so. Maybe I could just set dates + times and with the player names made public, so anyone could summarise?

    If someone bids at 11.59 on a 12.00 deadline then it's legit, but a 12.00 bid isn't.

    Would I gain any advantage from running the auction side and actually participate in the auction though?

    Obviously I'd like to do both, but I'm happy to step back and do it if necessary.

    Well you could just bid before the close. But as long as you say you're only accepting bids up until x time, then it should be alright.
