That video isn't worthy of shit.

Surely there's better footage than that

  3. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    That's insane.

  4. Old Mate M Perry

    Awesome, who was that?

  5. TBra TJ Bradford

Pretty sure the bloke who kicked it played in the same junior comp as me.

Good stuff, but the video itself really is rubbish. Hopefully someone uploads a better version of it on YouTube so we can watch it properly.

    Wow. Speechless.

What's the rule if that went dead without the hooker taking it over?

  12. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

I used to test people's knowledge of this. Most people don't know that if it goes dead from a drop-out without intervention from the receiving side, it is not a return drop-out. It is a 20m restart to the receiving team.

This happens probably once a decade, if that, and you get no reward for a 110m drop-kick. Kick it 15m and into touch and you get a scrum feed. Someone wanna figure that for me?

They may have changed the rule but I doubt it.

  13. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    That's what I thought, just wasn't 100%

  14. Old Mate M Perry

Didn't a sharks u20s player do something similar a few years ago?

What if from the optional restart you then boot the ball dead down the other end of the field?

    M M M MULTI-BALL?!

    Good nudge.

  17. Pretzel P Retzel

Everyone's forgetting about Michael Witt putting one over his own deadball line off the dropout.

    Why would it be......?

It's the same as kicking it dead in goal. 20m restart.

Not sure why people would think it was a drop out, unless it was "intervened" with......

  19. Rusty RST Downpipes

People would "think" it would be a return drop out in the same sense that if the ball goes into touch the advantage goes to the team who kicked it. Feasible to think they'd get advantage for kicking the ball out of play in this sense.

  20. Mr Fourex MR Fourex

Sure ....but it didn't go into touch.

He kicked it dead in goal.
