Smashed it tonight, boys. So good to comeback from such a large deficit in points to get the W. Some really solid stuff going on here. Of course there's areas to improve on, but this should be a decent season ahead, by the looks of it.
Preview - Polar Bears This week, we almost have an off week, given that we're playing the Polar Bears. Though after running the Hurricanes close for much of the match last week, they probably won't just sit down and take it. Their star man, Bruce Force, will most likely be playing centre according to the scouting report, resulting hopefully in much less of a threat due to being guarded by Chris Warrington for much of the game. Alistair Son should have a field day against this inexperienced back court (maybe 50 points finally?). Mike Nowitzki is out injured for this game, and despite the Hammers just signing a new PF Reagan Wheelson will fill the position, as he did in preseason. All in all, this should be a nice relaxing match for us against a new team that's yet to find its feet. Prediction: Hammers by 20+
Also welcome to Blake, he'll be the bench big that we've needed for a while. Makes it in time for this week's match. Wheelson to do well at the 4 pls. PG Alistair Son (36) SG Jonny Ridd (32) SF Ginger Furball (32) PF Regan Wheelson (36) C Chris Warrington (36) Ishan Narang (24) Ali Farhat (20) Blake Quilty (24)
Welcome Quilty! Hope he fits into the team well and stays active enough to be decent. Thanks for the write up, Mariner, hope we can use this game to boost our stats while we cruise to an expected win. The PBears showed some potential in their first game, but our presence on both ends of the court should keep them at bay.
Heh, with the overtime win last week and the PBs this week we should be topping all the stats charts :ninja:
Mariner did the hard work so it's worth thanking him, I'm not a basketball fanatic but I'll try and stick around for a bit and see how everything works here. Looks like a pretty well-run sim.
A good match, another win, top of the table. Very pleased with the work of the guards and Wheelson today, with some nice contributions from Furball too. Blake looking like he could be a decent role player if he keeps this up too. Hammers MVP votes: 3 - Wheelson 2 - Ridd 1 - Son Son penalized for only taking 10 shots, expected more from him. Maybe this is a turning point in his career, when everyone sees the ball equally. Or maybe he just cbf. So including last week, that brings the totals to 4 - Wheelson, Son 2 - Warrington, Ridd
Reckon we'd be a gun team to watch. I don't really seem to do anything particularly outstanding though.
I was pretty bad against the Ocelots. Reckon it was a one off, after having pretty solid form previously in the rounds before/preseason, or should I change my training focus?
Hopefully it's a one off. Hammers MVP Happy to go with Mousey's votes this round, it's a well deserved 3 points for Furball. 3 - Furball 2 - Son 1 - Warrington So including last week, that brings the totals to 7 - Son 4 - Wheelson 3 - Furball, Warrington 2 - Ridd
I'd say stick with the outside shooting for now as it'll be more useful for you as you're spending a bit of time at SG, not entirely sure though. Mousey will have more of an idea of the kind of shooting you're doing most of/worst at.
