Heef's Totally Arbitrary Pre-Season Position by Position Rankings

To get the discursive juices flowing, I thought I'd give you my rankings by position. This will mostly be based on how players have been going in the pre-season contests, a little bit of guesswork and some made up shiz.

This ignores form and will be considerably different from postrank (in some places).

Well I didn't get selected in a pre season team :( Looks like I am bottom of the barrell

Everyone in the database has participated in some unpublished sim testing, so not necessarily.

    9. Pantherus (Hurricanes)
    10. Muesli (Hurricanes)
    11. azzal (Vikings)

Giving this one to BigDougy. He's had some incredible performances in the pre-season. An absolute machine in the tackle, crucial turnovers at the ruck. Frizzed isn't far behind to be honest. Eggman comes of controversially 3rd here, given that he should be the #1. Eggman showing an ability to get forward a lot more than any of the other props, and could well be a danger around the fringes of the ruck to any teams who haven't invested in defensive skill.

Then there's a big gap to Ritchie at #4. Sizzler at #7 seems to have performed above his skill, whilst Muesli at #9 has been a massive disappointment in pre-season. azzal brings up the rear, but could easily jump as high as 5th if he shows some decent form in the first couple of rounds.

    Happy Hookers by Post Rank

    Code:

    AVA 37
    Eddie 3
    Irottev 97
    Roaddogg	48
    (Muesli)	70

    1. AVA (Vikings)
    2. Eddie (Sharks)
    3. Roaddogg (Spartans)
    4. Irottev (Hurricanes)
    (5. Muesli (Hurricanes)

And yes, I've gone for a real shock here. And, unlike under the old sim, it's not (just) because Eddie's a little bit rubbish. In fact, Delonge had a storming pre-season and stood head and shoulders above the rest. In fact, on the HASS, Delonge is probably the most valuable front rower. As for the rest, Roaddogg was a distant 3rd and Irottev wasn't actually that far off stealing that 3rd place. Irottev didn't seem to be penalised quite as much as expected with his line out throws, which will be a relief to Canes fans everywhere.

Muesli has 40% hooker, so he's in the list, but an unscored 5th.

  19. Mousey AJ Son

    Hopefully I'm top 5.

    Pfft, 3rd...underrated.
