Yeah, I just forgot about the new invites. Before that every single coop game was a stomp. It got so much harder now. I just wish they would go back to account wide talent gating. I think most people agree that for new players it's fairly useful to not have too many options but it's definitely way too tedious having to level up each hero individually.
If anyone wants to play this, my battle.net tag is TheMoff#1687 for those who haven't added me already.
It's not too bad of a game the more I play it. Sure, it's not perfect, but it's refreshing to give it a go after playing more traditional mobas like dota or LoL for quite a while.
It definitely plays more like a party game for me, it's lots of fun but it really doesn't strike me as a real skill tester.
AWTA It's fun because you can get straight into team fighting rather than focusing on farming beforehand, but it is very easy. However, this makes the game much more casual and there really isn't that much skill to the game as a result.
Raynor is possibly the most one-dimensional character in the game for my liking, he feels oversimplified. Stiches is classic high risk high reward though (plays very like pudge from DotA to my knowledge) Enjoyed all the complex assassins more than the others myself (Illidan, Nova, Zera)
Yeah I played him because I used him in the tutorial and in the first games when I wasn't really sure what was going on (my MOBA experience is zero) I preferred to be at range. Melee CC characters are my favourite atm though
I liked Raynor more when Hyperion was ridiculously OP. Those were the days. Still pretty fun to play with him though.
Yeah a lot like old Ashe on LoL. Have you played MOBAs before, Blunder? ETC seems to be pretty strong at the low level I was. CC for days.
It's a good one to learn the basics. It's a lot simpler than Dota/LoL. HotS is mostly unique in having the variety of unique 5v5 maps that have different objectives (such as collecting coins for the pirate ship thingy, mines etc). But HotS doesn't have itemisation or gold farming.
I have absolutely zero interest in ever playing LoL or Dota tbh. Firstly gold farming and items completely puts me off, and secondly by all the accounts the community is pretty damn toxic and I play games for fun not to shout at people who don't do things in the most optimal way
Gold farming and items make the game a lot more complex, and that appeals to many people. I'd agree that HotS is a more user-friendly pub game but I'd imagine all the objective stuff gets just as complex at higher levels.
